VERSED IN FINANCIAL ISSUES

Financial planning for millennials can feel overwhelming. Millennials often ask:

  • Am I doing enough?

  • Should I be doing more?

  • What if I disagree on how to financially plan our future with my partner?

These are natural and understandable questions and concerns. My background in various corporate accounting roles over the past decade provides me with a financial mind-frame and can be effective when speaking with couples and individuals on financial discussions.

PREMARITAL COUNSELING

I provide premarital counseling and am a Prepare-Enrich certified facilitator. This process is great for dating, engaged, and committed couples who want to pave a path of success, openness, and partnership as they continue through life together.

We’ll discuss areas specific to your unique relationship that you want to work on, and open intentional space to dialogue about goals and points of disconnect (or even just things you haven’t touched on yet!).

You have worked hard to build a firm foundation in your relationship. This process will take your relationship to the next level to ensure you have the tools necessary to work through life’s expected and unexpected changes as with an even firmer foundation that you will continuously build together.

WORKING THROUGH LIFE CHANGES

Making big life changes can be overwhelming. I understand that feeling and I know how valuable it is to say the words out loud: I want to make a change because this isn’t working.

Change can be intimidating.

I am here to help work through your options, your fears, and to assist in building a plan to become the person you are dreaming of being.

There is a part of you that knows change is necessary,

while another part wants to hold you back from the unknown of that change. That is natural! Let’s explore those different parts of you, how they came to be, what they’re attempting to protect you from, and how you can learn to work alongside them.

Life also comes with challenges. Maybe you have a loved one who is struggling with an addiction, and you feel lost. At times, that can leave you feeling powerless to the disease, but my goal is to help you find that power. Let’s explore that together!

(Read more of Kayla’s insight to loving someone with an addiction below!)

My intention is to help grow communication and understanding so that you can live your most authentic life.

Whether you are in a relationship, newly out of a relationship, seeking a relationship, or have relationship reservations, now is the perfect time to explore the goals in your life.

FAQ

How often do we need to come to therapy?

I recommed beginning therapy on a weekly basis to ensure the best level of care. The goal is to go bi-weekly, then maintenance, but having a good jump start to treatment to ensure success for clients is needed.

What happens in the first few sessions with you?

The first 3-4 sessions are truly getting to know you sessions. Exploring family history, relationship history, life transitions, and so much more that are vital for me to know where you are now and how challenges are showing up for you currently. That way I can truly put the pieces together alongside you to find what would best suit the presenting problems that brought you into therapy in the first place.

How long does it take to experience results?

That often depends on how much work you're willing to put into therapy. I tell my clients that I'm with you for 50 minutes once a week, so that should show that the work is truly done outside of the therapy walls. My goal is to give you the tools, track your goals, process hard things, and help you make shifts in your life to better yourself and your relationships with others, but I cannot do that without your willingness to get a bit uncomfortable and try new things.
