I BELIEVE THAT OUR THOUGHTS, FEELINGS, AND CHOICES ARE STRONGLY INFLUENCED BY THE RELATIONSHIPS IN OUR LIVES - MOST DEEPLY STEMMING FROM OUR FAMILIES OF ORIGIN.

Hi! I’m Katie.

I work collaboratively with individuals and couples to help uncover relational patterns that are contributing to their challenges, as well as strengths. I strive to meet you where you are to help uncover the tools that will work best within the context of your own unique, personal journey. I truly enjoy learning about people and deeply appreciate the opportunity to be invited into others’ unique experiences of life.

UNDERSTANDING THE DEMANDS OF CORPORATE CAREERS

Prior to entering the counseling field, I worked in sports marketing in New York City for over 10 years, which gave me exposure to the many challenges and joys of corporate life.

I look forward to joining you on your journey!

FAQ

How often do we need to come to therapy?

As with anything in therapy, this depends on your needs. Generally, it’s good to plan on coming to therapy about once a week so we can continue to build on each session, but this can always be adjusted up or down depending on what may work best for your particular goals, schedule, etc.

What happens in the first few sessions with you?

The first few sessions are so important for us to simply get to know each other. I want to get to know you, your story, and your goals, at the same time that you’re getting to know me and my style. The biggest priority early on is to build genuine trust and comfort. The timeline for this is different for everyone, and there is no rush at all.

While we’re building our relationship, I’ll be getting a sense for what your goals are and how I can best help you get there. We’ll talk openly about this in each session so that we’re collaborating and adjusting as needed every step of the way.

What is your therapy style?

I believe that your journey is completely unique and valid. My approach to therapy is grounded in creating a collaborative and nonjudgmental space that fosters trust and safety. I firmly believe that you are the ultimate authority on your own experiences and path forward, and my role is to offer insight, support and empowerment in your self-discovery and growth.
